WHAT IS MUAY BORAN IMBA
Muay Thai Boran (traditional Thai fighting) is the mother Martial Art that developed in 1932, into the combat sport of Thai Boxing or Muay Thai.
Muay Boran contains the combat martial art elements that were taken out to make the ring sport of Muay Thai.
Traditional Muay owes its origins to ancestral fighting methods of the people of Siam, refined by continuous process of trial and correction, unified today under the umbrella name of Muay Boran.
The MUAY BORAN IMBA system is a modern - traditional system based on three main pillars (technical pillars)
COMBAT MUAY BORAN: A modern combative interpretation of the ancient principles of barehanded Thai Martial Arts.
IMBA LERT RIT: A Thai military close combat system adapted to civilian use, based on ancient battlefield strategies and techniques.
IMBA MUAY PRAM: These technical pillers are interconnected and can be earned both as a stand-alone system or as the individual parts of which Muay Boran IMBA martial arts is made up.
The IMBA system is a system bringing together the Muay styles of Muay Chaiya, (Southern) Muay Korat (North-eastern) Muay Lopburi (Central) Muay Lert Rit (Military) and Muay Pram (Grappeling).
Muay Boran developed over more than a 1000 years and it has been practised as a hand to hand combat system, a popular past time and a professional sport.
