Grand Master Marco De Cesaris
He has been a Muay Thai practitioner since 1978 and has been certified as a teacher of Muay by the Ministry of Education of Thailand (in 1991). During his career he was an athlete, coach of professional thai boxers, judge / referee, promoter and founder of the first Italian Muay Thai Federation. In the year 2007 he was awarded the Gold Medal in the World Muay Boran Championships, solo Technical Forms competition, held at Bangkok National Stadium. In 2012 he was awarded the 15th Khan of Muay Thai Boran (and the title of Bramarjarn or Grand Master of the Art) and the Gold Mongkon by the Governor of Ayutthaya Province, Thailand.
He is the founder and technical director of the International Muay Boran Academy (IMBA), the worldwide organization devoted to the development and spread of Muay Boran in the world, since 1993. IMBA is currently present in 26 countries in Europe, Latin America and Oceania.
Master De Cesaris since 2005 has developed a modern scientific version of Muay Boran, named Muay Boran IMBA, which is based on three technical pillars: Combat Muay Boran, the most combative interpretation of the original Thai martial art’s fighting skills, IMBA Muay Lert Rit, a Siamese Military Close Combat style adapted to civilian use and Muay Pram, the traditional form of thai grappling.

WHAT IS  MUAY BORAN IMBA

Muay Thai Boran (traditional Thai fighting) is the mother Martial Art that developed in 1932, into the combat sport of Thai Boxing or Muay Thai.
Muay Boran contains the combat martial art elements that were taken out to make the ring sport of Muay Thai.
  Traditional Muay owes its origins to ancestral fighting methods of the people of Siam, refined by continuous process of trial and correction,  unified today under the umbrella name of Muay Boran.

The MUAY BORAN IMBA system is a modern - traditional system based on three main pillars (technical pillars) 

COMBAT MUAY BORAN: A modern combative interpretation of the ancient principles of barehanded Thai Martial Arts.

IMBA LERT RIT: A Thai military close combat system adapted to civilian use, based on ancient battlefield strategies and techniques. 

IMBA MUAY PRAM: These technical pillers are interconnected and can be earned both as a stand-alone system or as the individual parts of which Muay Boran IMBA martial arts is made up.

The IMBA system is a system bringing together the Muay styles of Muay Chaiya, (Southern) Muay Korat (North-eastern) Muay Lopburi (Central) Muay Lert Rit (Military) and Muay Pram (Grappeling).
Muay Boran developed over more than a 1000 years and  it has been practised as a hand to hand combat system, a popular past time and a professional sport.
